Hello from Colorado Springs! The USA Pro Cycling Challenge starts today and downtown Colorado Springs is abuzz with an amazing energy. Hundreds of people have come to the race to watch 128 of the top cyclists from around the world compete in the largest professional cycling event in Colorado’s history (and of course meander through the race festival at the finish line—a street fair featuring tons of local food & music).

As the official charity sponsor of the race (and the first ever charity to sponsor a professional sporting event), people could not stop talking about Millennium Promise! Hundreds of people stopped by our booth to inquire about what we do and grab one of our awesome tote bags (we handed out nearly 700 in one day!). Not only were countless people seen carrying our bags and wearing our stickers, we seemed to have the most popular t-shirts at the race. Literally hundreds of people were seen wearing our tees designed exclusively for Millennium Promise by Tommy Hilfiger—a cool site indeed. The energy here is electric. You can feel the excitement in the air as the team time trials take place today. As we tell people about our mission and our Spokes of Change campaign—which helps Community Health Workers get bikes so they can deliver essential medicines faster—we were thrilled and impressed with the response we are receiving.
